Cast Steel Shots are spherical balls made by atomizing molten steel. Molten steel from the ladle is poured into a cooling tank where it is struck mid air by a jet of water which leads to the formation of spherical steel particles. The particles solidify while flying through the air and upon entering the water.

The chemical composition is monitored frequently during this process as significant changes take place at this stage. Ferroalloys are added quickly in order to produce shots with the right mechanical properties which comply with the IS specifications and give the best performance every single time.

The shots then undergo the processes of heat treatment to get the right hardness and final selection based on size, shape and mass.
